We have a one bedroom unit which we want to upgrade to 2 bedroom unit . In Hobart .

There are 4 main rooms and a large storage room .

    Currently kitchen / bathroom / bedroom / lounge .

The " storage " room currently has a single bed in it and around one foot space along the side of the bed . Don't have a precise measurement but it's around 1200 wide and 4 m long .

Door at one end on a side wall with a window at the other end .

A bathroom would work with a bath at the end and a shower coming in from the side at the end away from the window .

Any thoughts on how wide a kitchen needs to be to make it work ?

600mm is the standard. You could go down to 450mm I suppose but I don't see it working as a kitchen.
