    Hi All,

    Stupid question here

How much would a kitchen benchtop affect overall value of a house (Complete reno of house also)

Nothing too $$$, been tossing up between laminate or bamboo

Nothing on value. A really bad one could slightly lessen the value, but a valuer isn't going to change their opinion at all based on a benchtop I would imagine. A PPOR buyer on the other hand could go either way and choose anything in the house to match whatever they're thinking  : bad benchtop could be opportunity to put in the ceaserstone they've always wanted, or it could be that the marble one you've added is "not on trend" and they'd take money off the price because it'll take effort to get rid of .

Given how cheap some simple timber ones are from the green shed, that's another option for hardwood.
