I am trying to choose a dishwasher, built-in oven and cooktop for a unit I am renovating to sell. I think I prefer mid-range price and quality, so not cheap and nasty and not too pricey. I've been looking at appliances on-line and 2nds world and quite like both Artusi and Haier, do you know anything about these brands and what would you reccomend for my situation? Thanks

I'd go for a brand that people know, mid range. I would not be happy with what I would perceive as a "cheapie".

Which brands do you think fit that category of mid-range? I always thought Westinghouse would but they seem a bit pricey now.

On a side note - with appliances online - if you provide them a cheaper option from a competitor they'll match it :) that includes other online companies.

    Cheers

I think Westinghouse, Fisher and Paykel and the like is what I'd consider mid range

In my opinion Bosch is the best value mid range appliance name.

My selling agent said if I like the look of the appliances so will the buyers no matter what the brand. I think Haier look ok and not cheap and nasty. Their price is considerably cheaper. I know it depends on the type of property and this is just a small simple unit.

Personally, I Would choose a well known brand. Some of the cheaper brands may look ok, but buyers want reliability.

I've never heard of the two brands you mention, so would not look favourably on them in case parts are not readily available for any possible repairs needed, or of repair people won't touch them.

Look up the reviews on Haier, you might reconsider. Never heard of Artusi (product reviews weren't great).

Stick with mainstream brands eg Dishlex, Westinghouse, Bosch etc.

I went OMEGA for the dishwasher, cooktop and oven. Bought them for around $1000. Cannot give a feedback. I would say check the area and what people wants, warranty and budget. I didn`t see many offers recently. Applianceonline no much going on, had better packages before.

Haier is cheap and nasty. We bought a dishlex "second" dishwasher on Friday afternoon for just over $400. First thing the tenant said when we were running it on Saturday morning was "It is so much quieter than the haier".

Dishlex is a great entry level. Haier is as cheap as it is. Omega feedback is up and down. Fisher & Paykel is expensive but has a great reputation, we put them in our brand new homes and people love them. You can't seem to go wrong with Westinghouse either. My experiences with Bosch appliances haven't been amazing.
