Well I think the problem was that they definitively *didn't* get QR involved in the initial planning, even though they probably would have identified the problem much earlier on. Instead the LNP put Thiess onto in an effort to save money. When Labor came into Government, they've had plenty of time to do the oversight, so even though there is plenty of finger-pointing, both sides have some blame.

Latest articles are saying another 6 months..

Views on the estate at Newport? Could be sweet if you could get a new house under 500k.

wow, can you get a new house under $500k there?! There are the horrible looking streets near Newport in Scarborough (shivers) that would be under $500k for some, but I haven't seen any at Newport itself.

I assume they're really small blocks?
    And probably really close together.
Although I haven't looked at it.

If you can get one there for $500k or under I would treat it as purchasing way way under market. I'd not buy one for a 30 year plan given the predicted sea level rise figures, but for everyone else it sounds damn good!

How do the predicted sea level rises look for that area?

Depends which map you are looking at. And whether we build a desalination plant on the airfield to use up any excess seawater.

    Ha Ha
The desal plant is from a science assignment my year 11 students are currently doing. I tell them it save us from any potential rising sea levels.

Right on, that's a good idea.
Could probably use another one - they're not using the 1st one they built.

Keep an eye on sold prices over the past six months rather asking prices to determine growth...Kippa Ring is experiencing some growth
