Saw this on Twitter this morning: https://twitter.com/MrKRudd/status/1338755674986176512

Link is to this website: http://saynotorealestate.com.au/ ... which was set up by one of Rudd's advisors.

Rudd is asking people to make a pledge:

I pledge that I will not use RealEstate.com.au to buy, sell or lease property.

I will keep saying 'no' until the Murdoch media stops:
    • Acting as a platform for denial of the peer-reviewed science of climate change
    • Undermining efforts by Australians to take substantive action to address climate change
    • Spreading false and misleading claims such as:
      • "It has yet to be shown that human emissions of carbon dioxide drive climate change"
      • "There are no carbon emissions. If there were, we could not see because most carbon is black"
      • "Everything recommended in the name of combating climate change turns into socialism"
While I'm generally in support of Rudd's anti-Murdoch campaign - the reality is that there is no viable alternative to realestate.com.au for most people. Domain comes a distant second in its reach - and none of the smaller sites reach the audience you need to get the best results when selling a property.

The average person trying to sell their property is going to do themselves a huge disservice by not listing on realestate.com.au.

    I agree totally.
By the same token, I think K. Rudd may as well run down to the beach with a stick in hand with which he may seek to hold back the tide. May his campaign against re.com be as successful.

Amongst other things I don't like Murdoch's choice of women.

I'll be using domain.com.au from now on.

Pretty much in the same boat-realestate.com.au is my go to site. I find it the most user friendly.

It's hard to encapsulate how thoroughly detestable a man Murdoch is. Not only is he a prime culprit in a very successful war against science, which we'll all pay dearly for, he is now complicit in a war against democracy itself and the institutions of a civil society.
