Hi All, We are planning to buy a property in Sydney northwest and are confused in deciding between North Kellyville and Schofields. Price wise Schofields seems to be cheaper than North Kellyville. Need advice on whether Kellyville is better in terms of schools or public transport or health care facilities now and in the future.
Hi Deeps, There have been lots of threads around this subject. If you do a search you will see. It depends on what is your preference - is it primary / high schools or transport via train or car? Kellyville has the better schools, including private schools - although St Marks isn't too far from Schofields. Schofields probably has better trains right now, but Kellyville will soon have the Samantha Riley station.
Hi Perky29, Thanks for the reply. I am looking at good primary school and transport via train. Also, why is North Kellyville so highly priced compared to Schofields?
North Kellyville - likely higher priced due to it's proximity to Rouse Hill (shops / schools) and the "large" blocks of land (around 650 sqm which is big these days). I know a guy who saw his block in North Kellyville double in price between 2013 and 2016. Schofields blocks of land are mostly smaller, and used to be considered a less desirable suburb years ago - it has thrown off most of that stigma now IMO.
North Kellyville is part of the hills, schofields is blacktown no matter how new it is. I suggest you do more research about areas before committing to that mortgage.
