765m is a decent sized block as well. Great result!

It’s exceptionally hard to find anything under half a million that doesn’t need at the very least $30k+ work done. Most 3 bedder properties that need nothing major done seem to start around the $550k mark now. Decent 4 bedders seem to kick off towards the $600k mark.

I purchased one of these ;) I'm very excited about Kallangur - this is such a great thread! We started looking in April and we kept having to go further and further out of town - we almost took the hit and settled for a ~400m2 block, not a fan

Market is nuts, we were getting outbid for every house and we were way over bidding ourselves! A lot of these places selling for cheap end up having so many structural issues or there's a cash buyer which knocks everyone out of contention. We ended up getting over it and overbidding just to secure a place - I completely agree with you, there's going to be HUGE growth over the next 10 years.

I'm from NZ and after seeing the property growth there and watching NSW and VIC, it feels like a no brainer that North-Brisbane will follow similar trends. With all the infrastructure and jobs in the area + arguably the best weather in Australasia, it's almost too obvious

“'The Mill' is set to generate $950 million for the Queensland economy and could support more than 6,000 jobs by 2036 in fields such as education, technology, health and research.”

That’s 6000+ professional jobs planned for the Mill PDA over the next 15 years. 6000 professionals... that will want to live locally, and not deal with Brisbane CBD peak hour traffic that’s becoming increasingly worse. Think about that, and you’ll see the long term value of your investment :D

The 6,000+ professional jobs will greatly assist with the gentrification of Kallangur & Petrie ...

Next 10 years should show a huge spike in the area, it looks like everywhere Narangba and down is going up rapidly at the moment - don't think it's near hitting peak numbers yet.

What do you think will be the impact on areas like Morayfield and surrounds?

The further north the more land that’s available. I think Lendlease have a massive development coming on board soon, called The Pines

Caboolture West is going to be huge too - check out the file I attached. This will boost areas in Caboolture, Morayfield, Burpengary and Burpengary East.

You really can't go wrong in North Brisbane at the moment.

I honestly think people are just buying to the limit banks are willing to lend them, no matter the property. When you're looking for a place for 6 months and prices keep increasing and you keep getting outbid, it calls for desperate measures.

Congratulations on your purchase. Is this a place to live in or investment?
