Kaboodle Corner base cabinet - shelf!?!

We just got to the end of a kitchen renovation. All new Kaboodle cabinetry with stone bench top.

Unfortunately in the corner base cabinets our tradies did not install the internal shelf before the Benchtop was fitted.

Has anyone ever got the shelf in these in after the Benchtop was installed?

I tried for 15 minutes this evening with no luck. I suspect the Tradie has tried too - will call them tomorrow to try rectify but keen to hear anyone’s advice or previous experience.

Have you popped the door off and tried putting the shelf in at an angle?

 

They tried again and couldn’t make it fit. Now they are getting a slightly smaller shelf made that will fit

Lesson for others- make sure you put the shelf in before the Benchtop goes on! (As per the instructions )

 

@housechopper2 - Maybe cut it down the middle on the diagonal, whack on a piano hinge, fold it up, push into the opening knuckle down.
