    If you buy your Mum out and then the property doubles in price, giving you a quick windfall, then Christmas and birthdays might start to feel a bit awkward, not to mention what happens if you buy in and the thing tanks....

    Why don't you found out what, for example, the cashflow issue is with your Mum keeping up her share of the payments, and maybe help her out in a different kind of way...
