Damn they were great jeans. I seem to be doing this to my pants and to a lessor extent to my tops too. Ripped a big hole in a black shirt while at work 2 or 3 weeks back on the Friday afternoon... that material was fragile :(

And on that day I rode my bike, caught 4 trains, saw 3 open homes... I don't know when in the process of the day the rips occurred!

I'd be torn deciding whether to wear them again or not.

It happened to an employee at one stage. A great big rip right down the backside. He decided to keep working as he thought he was only facing customers. I sent him home as soon as I came in and he was turning around to replenish supplies.

Uniqlo apparently do free jeans adjustment. If you buy the new one there, you might be able to ask adjustment on parts that usually rip :p

I was too turned off to worry. It's bad enough that he had all the assets to be a plumber.

I HATE buying new jeans. It seems to take an eternity of wearing and washing for them to get "just right", then you get about 2 more washes if you're lucky before they disintegrate and you have to start all over again.
