always loved watching JH highlights on youtube. and hearing the commentator trying to sound aussie by saying "G'day mate" on one of the clips..

I agree with most, they need to give Hayne a bit more time to adjust to real game pressure. playing 5 practice games doesn't equal to one intense real game. but, what do i know.. :D

Or is it 49 ers ?

I reckon he should come back to NRL and play for the Dragons!

He's got the potential to be an immortal, especially if they are considering Thurston as going on that list at this early stage.

Hayne will end up on the niners practice squad at best. His bad hands will scare off other teams starting him

I was looking forward to him putting on a cowboys jersey.. I don't think the 49ers have as much confidence in him as they say.. releasing him when they have so many injuries when they could use him at least as a punt returner seemed a bit odd.

Here's hoping he shows promise in the practise team, makes some good catches and holds the ball :)

He's going to move back into the starting line up now right? They seem so depleted at the running back/punt returner position. What do they have to lose anyway? It's not like they're going to make a run into the finals.

That's what I thought would make sense, nothing to lose, make him the workhorse and see what he can do.

Hayne will be back. He will want to prove some people wrong.

Is it a bit of tough love? Few errors but drop him back to keep him working hard for it.

It's not a bad thing I guess, it was a punt to have him over there to begin with but having a season to learn he'll no doubt fight for it and won't be going anywhere just yet

Geeze, a bit risky hanging him out there for any team to pick up.
Definitely works in their favour as far as negotiations go.

True, but do they have bigger problems at the club going on to worry about a "potential " star? And was it unlikely that anyone would grab him with very minimal info on him?

He trialled with the Lions and the Seahawks were interested, but he signed with the 49ers for the guaranteed $100k.

    Dem clearance jerseys...
Would've been funny if he went to another team.

Interesting to see what happens next season with Jim Tomsula now sacked.....

I am sure Jarryd will have a spot in the NFL.

    Cheers,
    Michael
