We all obviously want Hayne to do well, but when you consider his fumble to touching the ball ratio right now is almost 50%, the "I'm still learning and growing" mantra won't last long.

At least they've got the Seahawks at home, hard to see them doing anything if they slip to 2-5. That could play in Hayne's favour - with a depleted backfield and no upside, he might get more minutes, but that's what most thought over the last few weeks.

I've been enjoying the NFL this season. Placed a $20 bet on odell beckham jr to get the first touchdown in today' Giants game :) I won't talk about all the other first touchdown bets I lost this week though.

What about that Colts fake punt debacle.

With Big Ben returning to training this week, Martavis Bryant back from suspension and dominating right away against the Cardinals, and the best RB/WR combo in Laveon Bell and Antonio Brown, the Steelers will be unstoppable.

I'm a convert @Hoffy - I really enjoy watching them play. Even when Vick was filling in. That last second rush by Bell to win the game last week was awesome!

Patriots are looking pretty good though.

Hayne's biggest problems are a lack of identity and a huge learning curve. He's not a speed back but he isn't a move the pile type of back either. I always thought he should have learnt how to be a punter with that huge boot he has. Be interesting to see what they do with him.

This could hopefully be the best outcome. Get him out of there.

Seems like a pretty toxic organisation at the moment - terrible team to watch too.

The 49ers are imploding. Best possible scenario for Hayne would be to miraculously make it to the Seahawks; at least they have a coach interested in utilising his talent.

The Pats are looking unstoppable, but go pack go!

Isn't this tomsula's first gig with 49ers? It takes time to build a team and individuals. Chop and change won't work. If he'd given up on JH, best to make it clear now. JH is a loyal sportsman.

Agreed - let's move to February already. I can't see anyone stopping these guys.

Apparently his 'replacement' didn't go too well.
Might see JH back there if he clears waivers, but not sure another team won't pick him up 1st.

48hrs, but not sure when the clock starts, i.e if it was from the time of announcement or some other arbitrary time.

So did Reggie Bush get injured today? So is that Bush and Hyde out? Surely they'll need Hayne now.

Yep thats what I read, suspected ACL. Not great timing for the 49ers, they better hope he doesn't get picked up by one of the other clubs.
