There is no risk that he won't be on a NFL roster this season.

Parramatta could have used his services this year along with 16 others! Good luck to him!

Agree it's not the same, it's much improved for the removal. It is the least skilful form of tackling and very dangerous as evidenced by the death of James Ackerman in the Qld Cup this season.

There is nothing better than a big hit I agree, but give me a real tackle rather than blokes just bumping into each other any day.

Hang about - you can't get penalised for a shoulder charge when you have the ball, it's just dropping the old shoulder!

Congratulations to him. An amazing achievement. Plenty of arrogant experts with egg on their face.

What he has done is simply nothing short of remarkable. Not many people will give up earning 1million a season and go play a game completely foreign to them. Was lucky enough to play against him when I was younger was always a freak of a talent

Lucky the team got the "W", but he bounced back pretty well.

    - Fumble on a punt return, a coach killer. got crunched in windy weather, but was already in opposition territory, not like he gave it up on his own 20 yard line
    - Reggie Bush got a slight calf strain, so Hayne was called on and he got 3-4 runs for about 13 yards
    - 1 reception for 7 yards
    - 1 punt return for 0 yards after a nice 11 yarder got called back for a penalty

He will only get better, these are 1st string teams now, a great achievement to get his first game out of the way.

Grand Finals nerves for the first competition game! For Aussies they know that's rare for hayne to drop one but for his new team is not great to see. it's an easy target for the media too unfortunately. Watch him catch every one for the rest of the season now!

Good to hear the rest of his game went well.

Agreed. Can't wait to see him play on 20/12. Should I bring our flag? ;)

I'm seeing his this weekend in Pittsburgh. Hoping he goes well but won't be cheering for him. Go STEELERS.
