Not long ago, Japanese TV brands such as Panasonic, Toshiba, and Sony, dominated the global television market with shiny models that were the envy of many Australian homes. In a rapid change to consumer demand, buyers around the world have turned their backs against Japanese-made sets in favour of more affordable, high-spec versions from South Korea.

Is it the Japanese or Korean TVs you want to have?

Most Japanese branded TVs are not made in Japan anymore (same for most of their cameras also) Korean products are still mostly made in Korea but that is changing also.

I personally have a Samsung TV that just won’t die. Also love my K-Dramas.
Conclusion- Korean TV all the way.

I think the South Koreans have caught up over the years and are the equal of the Japanese brands.

The same holds true I believe of thier cars, although the Japanese brands still hold the repuation and hence the slight price premium in a Toyota - Hyundai like comparison.

The question would have been funnier if you asked: would you buy a Korean or Japanese branded smart phone :D

I'm more bemused by the number of survey questions which have appeared.
