It's so nice to see a good news story, especially related to a bank

I don't bank with them, and have no positive or negative experiences of my own in dealing with them, but reading this really put a smile on my face. It would be so nice to read more of these stories, especially in light of the huge profits the banks make.

I find that the media talks about ‘banks’ being some sort of entity that has morals or ethics (or indeed lacks morals and ethics). ‘Banks’ cannot have morals or ethics any more than a car, a house, a road, or a tree can have morals or ethics. Only people can have those values. And for what it is worth, I find that the vast majority of people who work in banks are indeed moral and ethical and try to do the right thing.

 

Good story, probably worth considerably more than 22k to NAB in terms of good publicity as well.
