Is your PM proactive in updating you?

    Aww, you're nice! I usually respond to anyone within 24 hours and expected the same. Almost always ended up disappointed and (I think) regarded as difficult client. So extend I it to 48 hours - being more reasonable with my expectation usually do the trick in reducing stress. I also understand they do things I can't see as you mentioned above, so prefer to give them some breathing room if I can afford to do so.

    A good PM is one that works extremely hard to find you an awesome tenant, so that they (the PM) can sit on their backsides the rest of the time.... its called working hard upfront to be lazy.

    Yes. I am quite straight forward with my communications preference. If there are no issue with the property/ rental - minimum communications is non issue. When there are arrears (like now!) I expect prompt response and regular update.
