    @hammer, yes fresh fruit is better than juice, and better than jelly beans.

    But taking in tens of grams of sugar is not good, regardless of the source and whether it's combined with fibre, vitamins etc or not.

    I checked the contents of my John West Chilli & Tuna. Couldn't find the sugar content but when I had the first mouthful - yeowww! So @#/^&ing sweet.

    I'll admit to not having drunk soft drink, eaten cakes etc this year so am probably hypersensitive to the sweetness.

    You should tell scientists and nutritionists that. I'll start taking bets on how long it is until they stop laughing at you.

    I just checked a tin of tuna that I had in the cupboard and no sugar was listed. Maybe the guy on the TV was looking at a sweetened version of Tuna.

    @Terry_w - also had a biteof parsley. That was sooo sweet too.

    Maybe it's my taste buds withdrawing from sugar.
