    Hi there,
Just getting some ideas on whether a property is worth buying?
It has a large (>900m2) irregular shaped block with a narrow frontage 12m and wide at the back. Is this a block that has potential to be subdivided?

    Many thanks in advance

Need to look at what that specific council or suburb allows to be certain.

Assuming you're talking Adelaide subdivision, answer is most likely not. Some areas may allow a hammerhead on that if there's room for a driveway past the house.

Advanced method - buy a slither off the neighbours to help. Depends on the size and willingness of theirs.

Read my thread on Croydon development, this was an irregular block, same as what you mentioned

All comes back to what you can build on the block, price you paid and profit you will achieve after building/selling

Homework required to determine the above

Melbourne is different from other interstate suburb. Melbourne is most less control on DA.
