How is MQG situated in all this?

Many people talking about the big 4 but MQG seems to be holding its price better than ANZ, NAB and WBC

It's definitely looking like its doing better! Still down almost 30% though.
I refinanced and unlocked some equity just in time by the looks of it!

Would be nice to buy in at that point..

Well I bought in at 11.30 today. NAB and WPC. Just 10k each at about $15.71. Then went for a drive in the Focus RS to pick up Mrs CarTart. Came back saw the stock market and sold the lot. Enough to buy another Car, I say.

The dow tanked because of Trump lol it had a huge bounce because the fed announced $1.5 Trillion in liquidity injections the day before

    Makes RBA's $8Bn look like 5c lol

Great work Car Tart. Bet your not with nabtrade then?
I tried to do exactly the same just before 12.00 today when WBC was around $15.70.
Locked out of the broking site for what seemed like about 10 minutes due to what they said was 'technical difficulties'. So just went to Friday lunch instead without a purchase.
When I came back the site was working again but shares had shot up by $2. Damn you nabtrade :-(

I think Corona is the trigger for the next GFC. This is just the start. Need to account for all the effects of what is happening now. China stopped production for 2 months. Italy is all shut down, Europe in similar position and will do soon (number are increasing). Australia will follow. Big difference are the low interests now. If you can by at 2018 prices is bargain to me, just don`t go all in and leave something for further drops.

If you had bought nearer the start of the gfc (as opposed to the end), how would you feel now?

Negative economic growth and rising unemployment is not the same as a liquidity event driven financial collapse.

Its the code for the S&P500 index.

the dow is often considered too narrow since it only has 30 stocks.

Alex as i know you will be very busy --Lets just hope it does not go into that range but we -i- cant predict what someone will think about anything because of the brain's complexity and if you accept that every event has a reason or cause..
This one is no different as a community we must choose our words carefully which affect our thinking..

This may sound damming and it is no way intended that way ,but your and KitDoctors charts if the C-Virus did not come into the picture would the outcome be the same?..
