Is it a good idea to install drainage channel right under gutter?

Anyone has experience in buying this?

If the gutter of a house toward the backyard is narrow and not clean + grade of the soil near the foundation isn't steep enough, resulting in overflow and water pooling during heavy storms,

do you think its a good idea to place a diy backyard drainage channel right under the gutter to divert the rainwater? It will be 1 meter away from the house.

You certainly want to resolve the ponding issue. It is hard to position those drain sections so they catch the water as wind moves it around and water won't penetrate into the channel from the sides. Consider a slotted ag drain under a strip of gravel about 400mm wide. Use 20mm or larger gravel to stop it being displaced by falling water - rounded river pebbles are work well and look good.

Is it not possible to adequately rectify the roof drainage?
Was this the house with some other roof issues?

Certainly possible but preferably you would rectify the issue with the gutter itself.
Ps. with enough rainfall every gutter has the potential to overflow during a heavy storm.
Getting bogged down in 'potential' issues?

I have used those drains before, fairly easy to put in place, just make sure you have enough angle for the water to flow out to the desired area

A slotted ag drain can be moved around easily too?

    No.

Get a roof plumber in to assess the issue. You may need another down pipe.
