I love this show...still watch the better reruns from time to time, and the latest ones of course.

    Is anyone addicted like me?

More into house hunters. Living in Sydney and watching the Americans buy mansions for 200k with a massive list of demands is something else. 'I like the house, but I would prefer something with Roman pillars at the front of the house'

I was but found myself shouting at the television too often!

    why?
I know - it's because they seem to find these Vendors who have unrealistic expectations about value, and have done nothing to improve the appearance for sale?
    That annoys me too!
I love Andrew's sarcastic dry wit, and I love the process of transformation of the properties.

Yep! The vendor's usually drive me nuts. But then the house is transformed, and they get a better than fair offer, and then they turn it down!!! Ugh.
Andrew and the team are amazing though. He's very witty and impatient. Totally respect him.

one thing that intrigues (annoys) me is when Shayna is putting the cushions on the beds etc, and they have a close up of her pulling the brand tags off them. They do it EVERY time. What is with that?

Product placement? Get paid to feature brands?

I thought that too initially, but you never see a brand in those shots of the cushions. Seems pointless.

Emphasis on everything being new and clean for an open, I guess.

LOL... this really annoys me too. I'm glad I'm not the only one who notices this.

I have always liked the show. They are doing a house in my suburb now, or very soon. Went to the pre-makeover walk-through a few weeks ago!

The older shows were not realistic with the prices (even for back when they were filmed)

The news ones are more accurate though

Love love love it. Sold my PPOR last week and honestly utilized their principals (presentation - price - marketing).

Might come as a surprise but they're often completely fiction/false. I personally know one person who was the main character and he said it was all fiction.

I just wish I'd thought to put "shouting at the television" under hobbies on my resume when I was younger.

I have never seen any bitchiness on S.H.A..closest to it might be the criticisms of the property by the people at the O.F.I's...but that us expected - they are simply giving their opinions about the house. Who is bitchy that you have observed?
