Agreed. It's a high turnover industry as it takes time to build a reputation and get adequate amounts of listings to provide a satisfactory income. Apart from technology the largest threat to REAs is the trend of Aussies holding their homes for longer periods. Aussies holding onto their homes for longer - realestate.com.au

Surely you don't expect one REA to provide a solution to ALL buyers.

If a REA doesn't have the right solution for you, go to another REA.

That is what I do when I buy property.

In fact, I apply the principle when I buy anything - food, grog, cars, money, ...

Firstly, you have to be a failed real estate agent :) :).

Just kidding. I could help myself. Back to my Saturday sunset drinks.

No idea :D The Real Estate Institute would be a good place to start. There are also peak bodies for buyers advocates.

Nope. Read my 1,670+ PC posts if you don't believe me. If not, read my Intro thread.

Nope. There are thousands, maybe millions, ahead of me who do that.

    I defend all good people.

Haven't met a single valuer who intends to be in the industry long term - the general things I hear are compression of valuation prices meaning more valuations required to be done for less money, long hours - churn churn churn.

Not exactly an industry I would want to jump into - it's effectively being cornered from demand monopoly and technology change.

Don't do rest beyond getting your CPV ticket. Non-resi valuers are much happier.
