Ever property is different. A BA is a useful resource for some buyers for some property for some purchases.

I dont think anyone would disagree with this : A BA fee can be avoided. But its likely as avoidable as not using a REA to sell. The issue is it may be a necessity. A BA can bring some improved purchase choices and process. But if you can capably DIY and feel comfort and have the time then its avoidable.

And as Peter said - there are good and bad.

Is a personal trainer worth it?
Is a house cleaner worth it?
Is a academic tutor for your children worth it?
Is it worth paying to get your car washed?
Is a mortgage broker worth it?
Is it worth paying an accountant to do your tax?
Is a travel agent worth it?

You get the message....Its a personal thing- depends on who is consuming and who is providing the service.
