I think it will have a positive but impact. As others have suggested the CBD upgrade should have a bigger impact. I’m just not sure if it will reach redbank plains very quickly.

Raceview population expected to increase from 210,000 to 500,000 by 2041.
The suburb is only three kilometres from Ipswich’s main centre, which allowed good access to the region’s diversified economy, including healthcare and social assistance, retail and manufacturing sectors.
$5 billion Defence contract was also vital for the region, with the $340 million Cunningham Highway upgrade helping to reduce commuting times to Brisbane.

I mean specific to Raceview, that statement can be applied to a lot of Ipswich

I'd be hesitant to build/buy a slab-on-ground property in Raceview, lots of highly reactive soil....!

I agree. I was trying to buy there for a while a few years back. Had 3 come back with major structural issues and decided to give up. Ended up buying in Redbank Plains which I’m not so sure about anymore but has good CF that help my serviceability to buy in areas that I feel have a better potential for CG in the shorter term.

    Ipswich keeps doing it.

"In Ipswich, west of Brisbane, house prices are up 20 per cent from five years ago but local Ray White agent Aidan Wales said affordability was still the major drawcard for buyers, particularly those coming from Brisbane.

“People in Brisbane head to the west, where the highways and railway lines are very good, because they can get more bang for their buck,” he said.

“A lot of people don’t mind travelling that little bit further than they used to. We’re more mobile with our jobs. Roads are better. Cars are better. So if they can get a much better house for not much further out, that’s very attractive.”

Queensland's regional towns emerge as top house price performers for 2018

Interesting. But why? Must be structural issues? Cosmetically it looks good (from the photos). Main road? Termites?

Main road and close to pump station. 20% less than comparables on better location. Rent I would say 310/320 a week.

Unlikely the agent will tell you, send in someone you trust to inspect it.

Just wondering, I'm only doing prelim research at the moment. The variation in house prices is interesting

Blackstone Road is quite noisy, but it certainly doesn't make it impossible to sell. The house looks nice, I wonder if there is an undisclosed issue.

I have kept an eye out the last couple of years and for some reason Raceview seems to get good prices in the decent 4 bedders size up.(not the lowset brick new builds)Its close to the CBD apparently that's why people love it.
I just grabbed one in their for just above $160K.We will look at making it a 5.2.2 and maybe go $320-$420K sale price??

You got a stand alone property in Raceview for $160K? How is that possible. Unless it’s towards Blackstone and the moving/ black soils area, I cannot see how you got a place for such a low price....

Median in Raceview is well over $300K.

Yes Raceview . It needs a good freshen up and new stumps but yes was a cheaper buy in than most .
Got a few quotes to replace the tree stumps with adjustable steel for $8-9k so that surprised me how reasonably cheap it is for stumping out here
