Definitely happening - it's a great value alternative to Brisbane/Logan for some people... big blocks, quiet streets, good transport links shops, schools etc...

I think more Brisbanites are starting to realise "Ipswich" is more than 1 suburb, and some of those suburbs are pretty damn attractive! (And some of them are...umm... less... attractive)

Nothing wrong with the inside, but that is one of the ugliest houses I've ever seen.

What's the opposite of street appeal?

Looks like it was built to withstand drive-bys! :D

Nice house, but wow that's a boom price that close to a main road!

Is it really? I'm not local but I have to believe that the reason it got a good price is because of it's location.

Walking distance to the shops, two schools, 10min by car to the growing Springfield hub.

What's bad about that pocket? (Apart from the specifics of the power lines and main road for this specific house).

Fair enough. What would you say are the better parts of Redbank Plains?

The areas off Henty Road (ie just to the north of the town square) has a bad reputation.

I’d personally avoid the whole suburb. It’s trash. Even south of the town square, have a drive through - it’s not somewhere you want to be. Collingwood Park is waaaaay nicer, as is Bellbird Park and of course Augustine Heights and Brookwater (while bordering Redbank Plains, they have a completely different vibe, Brookwater especially is very upmarket with stunning homes). Heck, every suburb of Ipswich is nicer than Redbank Plains (except of course Goodna and Riverview).

It’s Riverview. For $600k. That’s absolutely wild. No matter the house.

Redbank Plains is one of the hottest suburbs in Ipswich council at the moment. Its very attractive to many and FHBs wanting to buy in Springfield/Springfield Lakes are getting pushed into Redbank Plains area.

I've been getting more calls about selling my Redbank Plains house than my other houses in Brisbane. Agents there are ruthless with follow ups. LOL

Very interesting feedback! Out of interest, is your property in one of the newer estates, in the larger block areas or over towards Redbank Plaza end?
