I like Ipswich for the following reasons:
    • Ipswich is the fastest growing LGA (Local Government Association) in Queensland with the forecast average annual growth of between 4.1% and 5.4% p.a. to 2030 which is significantly higher than the QLD state average (1.5% to 2.3% p.a.) (Source: Qld State Gov. PIFU)
    • Employment in Ipswich LGA expected to increase over 150% from 2008 to 2026 (Source - AEC Group)
    • QLD Government projections forecast that Ipswich will be home to up to 532,581 persons in 2030 (142,400 at 2006) (Source: Qld State Gov. PIFU).
    • There is a new train line proposed to join Springfield lakes and Ipswich around 2021.
    • The area has had a very poor 10 year growth period which has contributed to yields increasing and affordability rising for home owners.
    • There is gentrification taking place.
    • There is ripple effect growth happing due to Suburbs such has Springfield lakes and Camira being considerably more expensive.
    • Flood free Brick houses under $300,000 only 35 min from a major CBD in Australia are basically non existent ouside this area.
As a result my company is buying up big time in this area and we will continue to do so as long as vacant rates remain tight.

I liked them both so I bought one in each then another in logan as well. Had all of them about two years and my logan and dbay has gone up about 45 k each. I'm now not sure if I should go Victoria now to diversify or go another cheapie in Goodna/ redbank plains

Ipswich isn't 42km to CBD. It might be 42kms to Brisbane,
Some might use semantics to say Logan may as well be part of Brisbane, but Ipswich is well and truly a separate city.
