iPhone security app advert - real issue or clickbait?

    If you keep your iPhone IOS up to date you should be pretty secure, same with most devices. The bigger risk is people entering their information on dodgy sites.

    It's incredible how many 5 star reviews are at the bottom of that page claiming it is an amazing anti virus..... on an iphone..... where litteraly everything installed on it comes from the Apple store with stringent checks to ensure the security of the app.

    Unless of course you jail break the device and install things from the Cydia store but I highly doubt that most people on here would be doing that.

    You don't need security apps on an Apple device if you get everything from the App store.

    Similar with Android if you get everything from the Play store however Android allows side loading natively so If you side load things then you should know that they are secure before installing them.
