    I have to say... wow those units seem so inexpensive. 2 bedders at the 400k mark... so reasonable.

    Out of interest, what makes people think that property in Sydney wont grow but else-where it will?

    Whats your rationale? employment is higher elsewhere? banks offer lower interest rates when you buy outside of Sydney? has gold or oil been discovered outside of Sydney recently? Or is it simply that elsewhere is cheap so "I think" it will go up?

    Eastlakes also seem like very good value. Can pick up 2 bedroom unit for around 600k. Close to airport, cbd, beach, Westfield. Other 2 bedroom units in the surrounding suburbs (Mascot, Kingsford etc) have median prices of 800k+

    I had a look at these areas after seeing them mentioned on here and couldn't believe how run down parts of these areas looked. 650k is absolutely crazy for units there :eek:

    Just when walking around the shops and the public areas of the suburbs (not the actual houses). I just didn't imagine that something at the price point would look like that

    Ya their past reputation has not been good but they seem to have improved a lot in the last 2-3 years. Have few friends who have purchased from them( in Ramona/Walker Street) and the feedback is that the quality/service has been good
