QLD Investment property - Townhouse with Pool

    Hi all

    Looking for your thoughts on purchasing in a townhouse/Villa complex which has an in ground pool. Strata fees and numbers stack up but being in QLD, pool is very attractive for tenants giving the warm climate.

    Some investors are not fans of pools however.

    Thoughts? Pros/Cons? What do I need to consider and keep in mind. All views much appreciated.

    Pools cause strata rates to shoot up...why not get a small well managed complex where strata is $500/qtr.

    The strata is about 750 pq so possibly the maintenance costs are factored in?

    Are there typically any large special levies for pools, or not really?
