    Hello,

I'm interested in buying an investment property (house) in either Penrith or Campbelltown? My budget is $600k

Just wondering which one will you guys pursue if you are in my situation and why? I did some background research however have received mixed opinions online and in person about each suburb

    Please and Thank you all

    Hi Rodney
    Why Sydney?
Have you considered interstate where it's at a different point in the property cycle?

Nothing wrong with investing in Sydney, particularly 18 months into a bear market. It is still the infrastructure and economic epicenter of Australia and still the magnet for international people (along with Melbourne).

Regarding Penrith vs Campbelltown. Both have their positives and negatives, but if I were choosing between these two for investment purposes, I would choose Penrith.

Amongst other factors, Penrith is 15 minutes closer to Badgeries Creek, than Campebelltown, and this will matter in the decades to come.

Campbelltown, it's got the most to go compared to the rest of Sydney.

Campbelltown now $600k will go a long way 600/700sqm block possible future sub.
Try finding something close to train or Macarthur.

Tenants non Campbelltown town have been average and rents are 4%, gross is lucky.

Thanks for your response. I'd originally thought both Campbelltown / Perth takes the roughly about the same time to Badgerys Creek. I guess it just depends where the house is located

Is it because Penrith is close to Blue mt. and can also gin benefits of Capital Gain when Badgery Creek airport opened?
