VIC Investment information night! 28th July

Hello PC!

As per this thread, I have organised a bit of a property investment information night.

After looking at the feedback there's a lot of topics you guys would like to cover, but we cannot do them all at once - so if this one goes well I'll look at organising some more down the track too.

This time the night will be all about Property Development - don't stress though as even if you're not up to this part of your journey you'll still get some great information out of it and there will also be a room full of people willing to answer your questions, even if they're unrelated.

Speakers!

First up will be myself.
I'll be talking all about how to manage properties (and tenants) when it comes to developments, also will talk briefly on what to look for or avoid when purchasing a property that will be tenanted for 2-5 years before being developed.

Second speaker will be @Simon Moore from Mortgage Architects
Simon is a mortgage broker and will be talking about financing developments, how lenders look on developments, what you need to get ready etc.

Lastly we have @D.T. from DT Property
Dave will be our guest speaker as he's not a Melbourne local. Dave has done his own development projects which will be interesting to hear about and he's also recently started his own PM agency in Adelaide.

Beyond that @JamesGG will be there, and we will also have a property solicitor that we've worked alongside for years who won't be talking, but will be there and more than happy to answer any questions you have.

Now what you need to know!

Date - Thursday 28th July 2016
Time - 6.30pm for a 7pm start
Where - The Como Hotel South Yarra - 630 Chapel Street, South Yarra
Cost - $25 each or two for $40

It is walking distance from South Yarra station, tram stop out the front, there's also the option of on street parking or covered parking next door.

There will be finger food for all, plus beer, wine and soft drinks.

There will be plenty of time for questions and general networking, for those that don't know me I love to talk - don't be shy

Oh! Also worth noting this isn't a spruiking event. There will be no course, no "buy this tonight", properties for sale etc.

Just a bit of a social networking night with some specialist information.

Sounds interesting. Will you be discussing how to find the site, costs involved. Will you show a feasibility development plan in detail?

 

Hey @Barny,

Because every deal is so wildly different, it's hard to cover this properly without taking all night and I wanted to make sure there was still a decent social element to it.

There will be a number of buyer advocate's in the room that will be happy to talk more on the subject of purchasing and due diligence if you're keen. Plus @D.T. will no doubt include a bit of his experience from his own project as part of his talk.

Just over a week until the event and there's still a few tickets left! There will be plenty of time for networking and general chit chat, so is a great opportunity for those that aren't experienced in property investment but would like to learn more and speak to some industry experts.

Not too late at all. From memory it's only 2 or 3 tickets left, but it's quite a large room and the venue has said I can up the numbers last minute if need be.
