    Not buying in that range but Perth has heaps of options in that price range.

    Select NSW regionals with populations above 50k for houses. More Select Coastal regionals for units (less about population size more about location). The REIT option is good too for capital looking for a home but would I be right in assuming few people are leveraging those with finance? @The Y-man as the OP didn't say but I am again assuming they need extra borrowing to achieve the 350k mark.
