Unfortunately have GBPs following a house sale. Anyone have ideas (apart from property) for investing this in UK while we wait for the exchange rate to improve? Happy for the money to be locked in for better return.

if you are just waiting on the exchange rate to improve before exchanging for AUD, I would not consider risk assets, and would hold cash / short term govt bonds only. You want to limit your variables here to exchange rate only I would think....

Yeah, I interpretted it being "locked in" as a much longer time period haha.

As an aside, does everyone think the rate definitely will improve in GBPs favour? Its pretty hard to predict currency movements....

Commentary I am seeing from DB is that all the risk is to the down side for sterling holders.
