    Hi all,

    I'm thinking of purchasing an IP in Queensland (live in Melbourne) in the coming months.
    This will be the first property purchase in a state outside of where I live and so I'm not sure whether it's best to seek a Mortgage Broker that works in Queensland or just find someone that can do it here.

    Interested in your thoughts.

    Mortgage broker can be anywhere (local, or interstate), usually conveyancer needs to be local/be able to do QLD settlements.

    You can go for the one who can assist you online... Because usually most of the mortgage brokers have access to various states...

    Finance licensing is Australia wide, so mortgage brokers can work with anyone anywhere, to purchase a property anywhere in Australia.

    You can use a broker from anywhere. Since you're in Melb though - Pete T would be a good start. He knows a thing or two about finance.
