I wouldn't click that if I saw it in a listing.

Oh, can we add this to the Guessing Property Price Game?

    There's no floor plan. :(

Me too. But given the area, I wonder how Asian buyers would view it.

No surprise. They don't seem to be used as much in QLD as some of the other states.

I agree @wylie it is annoying and was tempted as I am thinking the house isn't going to be much chop.

I was surprised the property didn't appear as bad as the advert made out to be.

With a line 'Well the home isn't much - and there is no argument about that.'

Yes it is not premium finish but I have seen worse houses from the photos. Without inspecting it I could live in it, yes I would prefer to make changes but if I couldn't afford it you could do over time.

REA should have stopped at the first photo.

That would stop most other buyers (especially interstate and overseas) going any further.

Then I could do a drive-by, check out the property, phone the REA, do a one-on-one inspection, put in a low ball offer, get my offer accepted, ...

Just like the good old days.

It made you put it on a forum with over 100,000 investors for FREE. You are advertising for him, if you want I can put a pot of gold on some of my listings so you can do the same for me :D

He hasn't explained who exactly the pot of gold is referring to...possibly the Agency.;)

It will sell for $700K plus.
The pot of gold is aimed squarely at the target market.

Like I said the REA has done their job :)

It would be pretty funny seeing the spike in viewership over the next 24 hours due to us.

Do I need to disclose this?

No I do not own this, I just squat here at night from time to time... Gotta keep on the move so you don't get pinned down.

I wonder how many of the visitors to this site will even click on the thread? It might make up for those who will not bother to look past that first photo?

My first thought is "house must be crappy" and as Kieran said, that could mean a buyer gets it dirt cheap because nobody is clicking past the first photo. Might not be the best idea really and might not be in the vendor's best interests.

I guess it is the same as when dodgy listings for whatever reason are posted here. It gets eyes on the screen. But unless the next photo makes it appealing, it won't help sell the house. And if the second photo piques someone's interest, then it would have been better to use it as the main photo, because there are those who wouldn't bother clicking past that first photo.

I think the agent by accident clicked on a pic called "My Commission Avatar" and then inadvertently inserted it into the ad as the first pic...
