    I sometimes find it pointless to make such comparisons. I'd give anything to be able to freely live in London or New York. But I can't. Not without a lot of pain with visas, sponsors etc. It's not like many of us have a choice. If we did then I'd agree that something looks lopsided...

    There has been some confusion about London median prices.

    The figure being quoted is for ALL London dwellings, not exclusively houses, which are closer to double the Sydney median house price.

    A better template is price per square metre
