Hi all, so ... in final stages with engaging with builder to renovate 2 x bathrooms for our PPOR.

Builder has provided me with a copy of Supply and Install contract outlining details of work. This contract is from HIA.

The contract from HIA says you require insurance for jobs over $20K. This job will be $42K.

The builder has issued me with an invoice from Insurance brokers of NSW for $400 and I have no idea what this covers ?

Can anyone shed any light on insurance I am been asked to pay ?

Sounds like the mandatory Home Warranty Insurance - compulsory but payable by the homeowner.

Great - so should I choose broker or should builder choose this like he has ?
