Insurance options for self-managed renovation of IP?

    Hi all,

    planning renovations (approx $100,000 worth) to an IP. It will become PPOR in about 20 years time. Architect has recommended going 'owner-builder' to self-manage project to reduce costs. Unfortunately in Vic, we have to plan to live in house after reno is complete.

    What other insurance options are there for self-managed projects? We are planning to sub-contract work to specific professionals (no personal or family favours etc)
