Hey all, I am purchasing some land and then looking to start the build of my home in the short to medium term, say within 12 months from now at the most. I called NRMA Insurance when I signed the contract however they mentioned they have no such insurance policy for vacant land. They will only insure after the build is complete as the builder will have their insurance policy which will cover everything until that period.

The land is pretty standard/flat without any trees so probably very minimal risk however just wanted to check whether I required any public liability insurance for the land until the build commences which could be 3 to 6 months away?

    Thanks Nav

There are only a few companies that do this.

Have a look at Landcover | Landcover and see if they suit your needs.
