    Good Afternoon All,

I am self managing my property in Victoria and carried out a routine inspection to the property last week. I have downloaded the report from VCA to fill out the details and attach photos. Everything was good during the inspection, but I would like to know if I have to forward the inspection report to the tenant. Thanks in advance,

    Hi Carmen

you can do whatever you want but there is no requirement as such (that I am aware of in VIC anyway) to forward it to the tenants. The routine inspection is for the landlord, so if you are happy that's all that matters at the end of the day.

Having said that, you could always send them the completed report and a "well done and thank you" message as a reward for maintaining the property well and to show them that - even though you self manage - all is done properly (and that you mean business).

Make sure you keep it as a reference later down the road.
