    Difficult to generalise. But look at all the new apartments being built everywhere and think about the number of houses they are demolishing to build more and more units. The supply vs demand equation will push up house prices so if you can still find a house in the Inner West within your budget, then go for it. In particular, Hurlstone Park looks cheap to me right now.
