Now you just have to put in a lift to appeal to the cashed-up baby boomers!

Do y'all think white battens on wood facade background will work better than those darker ones you see...? I'm not sure I'm convinced of black on wood look...

Absolutely! And I don't care what they say with regards to that, I steer my ship and the feedback from PC over the years is invaluable. We really have a good thing here @Simon Hampel and mods keep alive. From a business pov, I am certain PC has directly put back alot of dollars in my pocket. I am always appreciative and grateful.

The black slats look very heavy over that wood facade (assuming it is that dark "in the flesh"). To me (and I'm a novice) it looks a little busy. I love the design, but there is a lot to look at, angles, bits jutting out in several areas. I like all that, but perhaps you need to keep the colours to just two? There's enough going on without bringing in three colours plus black trim IMO.

The angles keep my interest, but the four colours are a bit of a sensory overload.

    Hey @wylie,

The Colors on the homes are just provisional. They'll definitely be changing when I nut down on them. Won't have that many. Glad you liked the designs .

I've just been catching up on this thread, but I do like the new plans better than the old one.

One thought that I had was about the layout of the butler's pantry, home office, and powder room.

If you put the doorway into the home office at the other end (i.e off the kitchen), you could put the powder room into the L shaped corridor where the linen cupboard is.

The butler's pantry could then be extended into the powder room. Potentially this extra space could become a laundry too, but it'd be a hike to the garden.

Thanks. A couple of years ago. I was in London at the time and my town planer called me to alert me to it. Spent the next few nights in the hotel business centre working to secure it (their night is our day).

Nice one! I'll see what the team's feedback is but I like it.

I just got back some feedback from my town planner after consultation with council. I always knew there was a chance that the design would trigger a DA and basically council have come back saying the design will have to trigger a DA which I really want to avoid tbh. My town planner thinks we have a good chance to get it ( the current designs) through with the DA, but if I can avoid a DA and not compromise the project at the same time, that's what I'll opt for at this stage ( the less I have anything to do with council the better as far as I'm concerned).

I'm currently looking at options with my town planner and designer to see how we can keep a similar scope of plans but avoid the DA route. Almost certainly the third level will have to be pulled back if I don't want to go the DA route.

I'll Update this thread as it continues to unfold.

I've just got back some demolition quotes, and the prices vary by tens of thousands. Obviously some companies don't want the business and some do :D
