We are wanting to relocate to Tassie and are on the lookout for a quarter acre+ block of fertile dirt within 1 hour of Hobart. Our intention is to build a house & garden and live off the vegetable patch as much as possible. The classic Green Acres paradigm.

Looking for something in a quiet scenic area as well as a price which is still on the planet.

Any suggestions of where as well as the right agents to contact are much appreciated as I understand good properties are often sold before or on the day they hit the market. It's a tough time to be looking.

Thanks in anticipation guys. Let's see if we can join you in God's country.

Down the Channel Hwy is lovely - around Margate or Snug might work for you? Even out Cygnet way - it gets more affordable that way.

Kettering is stunning, we built out there but sold it when we decided Tassie was too cold for long term human existence. :)

What Jess said! Huon Valley and Channel areas. Derwent Valley has some fertile areas.
