Shave it off and you don't have any additional hair cut cost.
A great clipper cost $100 and I heard bald short cut is the instyle.

According to the graph prices have continually been coming down for women's clothing since 2012.
I think internet shopping is contributing and prople buying and selling clothes second hand off FB marketplace etc so you might buy there instead of buying new.

Things like period underwear has become mainstream. They used to be sold at high price premiums and only available from specific sellers and now you can get Kmart Anko brand ones. Kmart new clothes prices are also unbelievably low.... I do wonder how much money the people who make the clothes actually get paid per piece (it really can't be much)

I also tend to think much more clothing is produced than is really needed/wanted by the consumer so there is downwards pressure on prices as retailers/sellers need to offload their stock. I have too many clothes and really only wear a fraction of my wardrobe. I really don't need anything more.

I def like not having to spend thousands each year on corporate wear and then almost just as much again on dry cleaning.

I think the minimalist movement is helping too. I’m really enjoying buying less ‘stuff’, in particular clothing.

Plenty of basic clothing in K Mart that is made in SE Asia. Cheap as anything and with the flimsiest fabric, it's guaranteed to fall apart after three washes -

For workwear I've had to upgrade to Target at twice and now three times the price in order to get t-shirts and shorts with decent quality fabric to last a full year.

Target clothing in my experience has been good. Loads of Target stores have been closed down though in recent years.

Pretty much haircut inflation was zero between Jan 21 and March 22. 50% hyper-inflation during March 22 came as a shock, but now flat-lining through April. I'll collect more data on a monthly basis.

I had my chest waxed the other day and couldn’t stop screaming.

The beauty technician asked what was wrong as I’m normally quiet. I told her I’m screaming at the new price chart on the wall lol everything up by about 20%

6 bucks for a democracy sausage at voting - now that's some inflation. Was $3 two elections ago

Sill $2.5 at bunnings. Democracy isn't worth it.

Get a democracy sausage at your local voting centre and there's a chance that, for free, you might see Scomo crash tackle a kid lol.

Yes, but if they're price gouging, you don't have to buy it.. Not an issue for me, as I don't eat bread.

One of the byproducts of constant and protracted lockdowns was I learnt to cut my own hair. Already did my kids' for the last 3 years but had to bite the bullet with my own head. (and I'm very fussy). You'd be surprised what you can achieve if you have a crack.

So bottomline is inflation hasn't affected us on the hair maintenance front lol.

The paradox of choice...and the perception that you have nothing good to wear. I'm TRYING to be more of a minimalist these days by investing in quality pieces/garments and having a smaller wardrobe.

Been slowly selling stuff on Facebook, Gumtree etc. and it feels good when you see a tad more hanging space.

Sure am, just got a 8% rental raise by my commercial landlord with the reason of CPI inflation.
