    Hi,

I'm very new to investing (only 1 property, and that was kind of an accident!), and have started very late!

I am very glad the forums have found a new home as I found Somersoft to be an incredibly constructive forum - hard to find these days!

I'll be posting some questions shortly :)

    Cheers,
    inertia.

Hi Inertia, late starter here too, better late than never though right?

My folks started at mid 40's from scratch (moved from England with pretty much nothing) and they retired at 60 with 4 IP's and a paid off beach fronting unit in Hervey Bay. They are my inspiration that even later it can still be done :).

I find the concept of buying IP's even more exciting than buying our PPOR was for some reason lol.

Agreed - we bought a place to live in, but are renting very cheaply from family, and have good tenants paying good rent - financially it is better for the house to stay as an investment.

Now looking at further properties, and very about getting it going!
