There is a correction in Indian stick markets from last few weeks, may be it's good time to invest.

I thought about getting into this .. but from memory the management fee is 0.80%..

On a million bucks that is $8000 compared to VGS which 0.18% at or $1800.

    Too expensive.

I know nothing of this market, can someone sum up the main points around the attractiveness of it?
Just curious if there is more there than an EM play?

I would stick to VAE, which has some exposure to India (11.6% at the time of this writing) with management cost of 0.40%

Just in general how ETFs cgarge fees?

E.g. VAS has a mgmt fee of 0.10 and one can buy on ASX via chess account: vas share price $60 and 1000 shares fir $60,000 + broker fee ($25 or $10 or 19.90)

So how does vabguard charge fee of 0.10? At the time of divi or ?

It’s not charged to you directly. It’s an expense that comes out of income of the fund. The net income after expenses is what is available for distribution to security holders

Indian market is at near 6month lows due to the current Covid outbreak. Might be a potential buying opportunity if you believe the Indian growth story longer term.

I don't have an India only ETF, I am happy enough with my exposure through VAE and VGE. If I did I would probably go NDIA rather than the smart beta option
