I recently placed an offer on a highset property in Brisbane and received the B&P report outlining that the bottom rail of front/back stairs and deck were installed back to front and which increases the potential for the balustrades to be easily dislodged. Has anyone encountered such a problem and how significant is this problem? I will be negotiating a reduction on my initial offer so that I can rectify the offer but keen for additional insights.

If it meets the code, then ???

If not, do what is needed, like add some bolts and brackets so they cannot be pushed out.

Ask the inspector what needs to be done exactly.
