I really don't mind the ads, but what I really, really hate is that just as you click on a link in the page, the page moves down as the ad is at the top and often last to render. And then the damn ad gets clicked instead. Show the ad by all means, but show it first!

FYI - the advert is for "bitcoin trader" which is a widely publicised scam. They have been impersonating various celebrities and websites trying to manufacture "social proof" ... but it really is just a scam.

Google search shows up plenty of articles about the scam: Google"bitcoin+trader"

I managed to get the original click tag and have submitted a block request - I suggested that my ad management company block this advert across their entire network.

Yeah, that's a bit of a problem. I'll revisit the code and make sure that sufficient space is pre-allocated for the ads so that worst case scenario is that it shrinks rather than grows (ie much less chance of an accidental click).

Pretty sure this ad is about investing in China owned "Golf Estates" in Pakistan - so kind of related I guess.

I'm seeing ads by non-business members, totally property related though

Scott, that's a Google AdSense advert. It's pulled from your cookie info to give you tailored ads.
I'm seeing Adobe Lightroom at the bottom and camping tents at the top of mine. Both related to recent searches ;)

@ShireBoy - I never look at property. I'm glad all my other searches are done in the private browser.

But... but you're on a property chat forum.. Cookies are funny like that. You don't have to actually search for it with Google. If you're using Chrome (and I'm sure it's the same for other browsers), it can be trawling all your cookies i.e. any site you've visited.

While Google does do personalised advertising like you describe - it also does contextual advertising based on site content, and this site is about real estate - so it's expected you will see adverts for real estate companies on here.
