Some things just aren't worth the risk to save money. This is one of them.

Unless you know what you are doing, otherwise research and learn or pay more

Friends have saved huge $, so have I

I posted a thread on my new bathroom reno, cost me around $13k all product from China which meets Australian Standards and Italian tiles

I was quoted as much as $24k in Australia and this did not include basin or any hardware, glass, mirror

I estimate I have saved perhaps $20k, thats significant and I plan to continue sourcing from China

When I start developing again its a no brainer

Buying cheaper materials at renovator auctions and big trade outlet sites can save you a mint and also mean you have some warranties and rights. And small buy quantities.
Rule #1 is to inspect it.
Rule #2 is to allow buyers premium and freight.
Tip - A self storage centre can help accumulate the items. Check if they have a wide door unit etc.

Another option, but it wont come close to buying direct from China

Cheapest isnt always best. Depends on the item and your ability to determine quality and other critical factors.

If a country doesnt trust its own milk supplies what hope is there for building products ?
Never seen a vehicle that is better because its made in China.
Cherry & Great Wall - The car companies that bought back asbestos

But then Fortescue Mining found asbestos in its imported train cars in 2018.
    And Aldi tapware with lead

Its only one country of origin that seems to get these reports....
