    Live now.

Went as a spectator/support crew last year and was blown away.

    Do many here follow/compete?

I was the youngest competitor when I raced it in 2004.

That year was one of the toughest on record. I have fuzzy memory of the day. I was quite sick leading up to the race. I was waaaaaay overtrained and undernourished. I was only about 67kg, down from my normal race weight of around 72.

Swim was ok, but the sun and wind on the bike really zapped it out of me. Then I was struggling on the run from dehydration. Overall not my best day, but was surreal experience.

I swore I would avenge the day, but looks unlikely in the near future as Im too busy living life cycling and chasing life experiences and epic journeys more so than the pressure of racing.
